Per Mertesacker recovers from an ankle injury to resume full training with Germany ahead of Euro 2012.

Per Mertesacker has returned to full training with the German national team ahead of Euro 2012.

The Arsenal defender was sidelined for the second half of last season after he suffered an ankle ligament injury against Sunderland in February.

The 27-year-old took part in a full 90 minute session as part of Joachim Low's squad on Sunday.

Germany's first game of the competition is against Portugal on Saturday, June 9.
