Tomas Rosicky admits that he is considering retiring from international football.

Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky has said that he is considering retiring from international football after seeing his side knocked out of Euro 2012.

The Czech captain, who missed the team's 1-0 defeat to Portugal with an ongoing Achilles problem, admits that the better team won on the night. Meanwhile, the Arsenal man revealed that he will "take time" to consider his own future.

"Portugal deserve to go through," he said. "Good luck and well done to them.

"We can go back home with our heads held high. We lost to the better team and there is nothing to be ashamed of.

"I would love to continue but I'm not stupid, I know I'm getting older and older. I will take time to think."

The Czech Republic finished in first place in Group A.
