The Liverpool matches Joel Matip could miss with knee injury

Sports Mole looks at which matches Joel Matip could miss through injury after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee problem.

Liverpool could be without Joel Matip for up to six weeks after the centre-back suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury.

The Cameroonian returned from a two-game absence against Manchester United earlier this month, but he has subsequently missed the next two matches and could now face an extended spell on the sidelines.

No official timeframe has been put on his return, but Liverpool are expected to be cautious over his fitness and could wait until after the November international break to bring him back into the team.

Here, Sports Mole looks at which games Matip could miss through the injury.

Matches Matip could miss

Liverpool vs. Arsenal (EFL Cup fourth round, October 30)

Aston Villa vs. Liverpool (Premier League, November 2)

Liverpool vs. Genk (Champions League, November 5)

Liverpool vs. Manchester City (Premier League, November 10)
