Injured Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud "miles ahead of schedule"

Arsene Wenger says that Olivier Giroud is expected to return to full training with the Arsenal team after the international break next month.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Olivier Giroud is "miles ahead of schedule" in his return to action from a broken foot.

The Frenchman was expected to be on the sidelines until the New Year after suffering the injury during the Gunners' 2-2 draw with Everton in August.

However, Wenger has revealed that the forward is likely to return to full training with the team towards the end of November.

"He is doing very well," Wenger told reporters. "He's three weeks ahead of schedule and I think he will join in normal training after the international break. He's miles ahead of schedule."

Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere is expected to be ruled out of this weekend's Premier League match against Burnley.
