Leicester City are still awaiting Youri Tielemans's scan results after the midfielder picked up an injury in Saturday's defeat to Arsenal.

Leicester City are yet to receive scan results of the "nasty" injury Youri Tielemans sustained in Saturday's Premier League defeat to Arsenal.

The midfielder suffered an ankle injury following an awkward landing during Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Gunners, which was settled by Gabriel Martinelli's effort inside the first minute of the second half.

Tielemans subsequently left the King Power Stadium on crutches, with his ankle in a protective boot, and he has since undergone scans on the injury.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday's FA Cup fifth-round tie with Blackburn Rovers, the Leicester boss said they are still waiting for the results of the scan but admitted it "doesn't look good."

"We're just waiting on the scan results for Youri," Rodgers told reporters. "That'll come through today. It doesn't look good. He did incredibly well to come back onto the pitch.

"We didn't have any subs, so he showed real bravery to help the team. When you see it, it's a real nasty one, so we'll have to see the results today. He's obviously been brilliant in my time here.

"He's always been available in the main and he's a top-class player. To not have his availability for a number of games is not ideal, but it provides an opportunity for other players."

While Leicester anxiously wait for the results of Tielemans's scan, Rodgers provided an update on the fitness of James Maddison and Jonny Evans.

The England international missed Saturday's contest at the Emirates Stadium through illness, while Evans has not played since the World Cup break due to a thigh issue.

"[Maddison is] feeling better. We'll see where he's at tomorrow. If it's not good, we'll see for the weekend," Rodgers added.

"[Evans] trained with the squad this morning. It's getting him through this week, seeing where he's at towards the end of the week.

"We'll then get an idea of whether he needs some time with the Under-21s or not, so we'll assess it from there."

Leicester, who won the FA Cup in the 2020-21 season, are preparing to face Blackburn for the first time since March 2014.

The Foxes have made their way to the fifth round after securing 1-0 victories over Gillingham and Walsall.
