How Chelsea could line up against Arsenal

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Chelsea will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they travel to the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day to tackle London rivals Arsenal.

The Blues will enter Saturday's contest off the back of a 3-0 win over West Ham United, which moved them into fifth position in the Premier League table.

Frank Lampard's side are currently six points behind division leaders Liverpool on the same number of matches and will be looking to close the gap before Jurgen Klopp's side take to the field one day later.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up in this match.

POSS CHE XI vs. ARS

Out: Hakim Ziyech (hamstring)
Doubtful: Reece James (knee), Ben Chilwell (ankle)

Chelsea will again definitely be without the services of Hakim Ziyech due to a thigh problem, while first-choice full-backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell are both huge doubts.

It seems unlikely that either James or Chilwell will recover in time for the contest, meaning that Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson Palmieri should be given the nod in the full-back areas.

Lampard is expected to keep the same midfield three that started against West Ham, meaning that Kai Havertz could again be named on the bench, with N'Golo Kante being joined by Jorginho and Mason Mount.

Timo Werner has only scored four league goals this season but should again start on the left, while Tammy Abraham's brace against the Hammers on Monday should see the Englishman feature at the tip of the attack.

Ziyech's absence should see Christian Pulisic again given the nod on the right, meanwhile, with Callum Hudson-Odoi expected to join the likes of Havertz and Olivier Giroud on the bench.
