Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has said that he will talk to Arsene Wenger about possibly being rested for next Tuesday's League Cup encounter with Chelsea.

The French international has scored seven goals for the Gunners this season and is keen to avoid burnout, although he is not feeling fatigued just yet.

"I feel good," PA quotes the 27-year-old as saying. "Maybe I will have some rest next week, for the Capital One Cup, I will speak to the boss.

"Over the years I have got used to playing a lot of games and I am OK with my body. I don't want to find a excuse."
