Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to face Norwich City

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to play against Norwich City on Saturday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be fit enough to play against Norwich City on Saturday.

The 22-year-old winger has been out of action since picking up a hamstring injury in the League Cup defeat at Sheffield Wednesday last month.

Wenger has also conceded that winger Alexis Sanchez could be rested at some point, but that it is unlikely to be against the Canaries.

"I will have to assess that a bit later. Spontaneously it is not the best moment to rest him," the Frenchman told London24.

"Maybe Chamberlain should be back in the squad [for Norwich] - Theo Walcott not for Sunday, he goes through a few steps."

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League, two points behind leaders Leicester City.
