Arsenal director Josh Kroenke visited Unai Emery's office after Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Gunners were heavily criticised for a performance that saw them race into a 2-0 lead before Luka Milivojevic and Andre Ayew scored either side of half time to bring the game level.

Such a poor performance comes against the backdrop of a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United last week and growing tensions over Emery's continued omission of Mesut Ozil.

According to The Athletic, the son of Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke visited Emery's office after the game - as is custom - to discuss matters with the Spaniard.

The North London side attracted further unwanted attention on Sunday when captain Granit Xhaka responded to ironic cheers at his substitution by swearing at the crowd and ripping his shirt off ahead of walking straight down the tunnel.

Speaking after the game, Emery reprimanded Xhaka, insisting that the Switzerland international had behaved 'wrongly'.
