Arsenal vice-captain Mikel Arteta has urged his teammates to challenge for honours next season after securing Champions League football on the final day of this campaign.
The Gunners secured their place in the top four of the Premier League after Laurent Koscielny's second-half strike helped them to a 1-0 win over Newcastle United at St James' Park on Sunday.
Despite having their chances of securing a place in Europe's elite competition written off numerous times over the course of the season, Arteta now wants Arsenal to exceed expectation once again and compete for honours next term.
"We kept great TOGETHERNESS between players, staff, directors & supporters and we got rewarded!" Arteta wrote on Twitter. "Proud to play for Arsenal! Let's win a title now!"
Arteta joined Arsenal in the summer of 2011.
