Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has been ruled out for up to three months after he broke his leg against Tottenham Hotspur, according to the France Football Federation.
The Frenchman was stretchered off after he fell awkwardly when he challenged for an aerial ball with Benoit Assou-Ekotto in the Gunners' 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane.
"The France team doctor was informed by his Arsenal colleague of a fracture to Sagna's right fibula," read an FFF statement.
"He will have an operation on Monday."
The defeat against Spurs has left Arsenal in 15th place in the Premier League table.
