Leighton Baines refutes suggestions that Everton were too physical against Arsenal on Tuesday evening.

Everton defender Leighton Baines has rubbished suggestions from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger that the Blues were too physical in their approach following their 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

The Gunners boss bemoaned some of the tackles from the visitors in the stalemate, but Baines does not see the Frenchman's point of view.

"Getting stuck in was not something that we spoke about. Wherever we go, the opposition will know that they will be in for a game against us," the Daily Mirror quotes Baines as saying.

"But I don't think they can have any complaints about the physical side of it. I don't think there was anything [nasty] in the whole game from what I can remember.

"We are not a side that people don't enjoy playing against at every level. We have a little bite to the team."

The draw leaves David Moyes's side sixth in the Premier League.
