Nicklas Bendtner warned by police for 'erratic' driving

Bendtner stopped by police

Nicklas Bendtner was reportedly stopped by police yesterday after an individual made a complaint about his dangerous driving.

The striker, who was on loan at Sunderland from Arsenal for the season, was the subject of a complaint at 5.45pm after being seen on Sunderland Road following the Black Cats' 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at the Stadium of Light, according to the Shields Gazette.

The 24-year-old was not included in Martin O'Neill's squad for yesterday's match, despite scoring some vital goals for the North East side during the campaign.

The Denmark international was banned for 56 days from driving in February this year and fined £660 for speeding.
