Kevin De Bruyne has moved above Dennis Bergkamp into fifth outright on the all-time Premier League assist list after setting up a goal in Manchester City's 4-0 home win against Southampton this afternoon.
After watching on from the substitutes' bench in City's 5-0 Champions League win over Copenhagen in midweek, the 31-year-old returned to the starting lineup as one of five changes made by Pep Guardiola.
De Bruyne has enjoyed an impressive start to the new season and continues to relish his role as City's key creative outlet, providing eight assists in as many Premier League games before the visit of Southampton.
The Belgium international surpassed Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard (92) and former Man City star David Silva (93) on the all-time Premier League assist list last weekend, after setting up two goals in City's 6-3 derby victory against Manchester United.
City's No.17 went into this afternoon's fixture with Southampton sitting joint-fifth in the assist rankings with 94 along with Arsenal legend Bergkamp.

However, De Bruyne has now moved into fifth outright and has taken his tally to 95 in the English top flight after setting up in-form Englishman Phil Foden to chip in City's second midway through the first half.
The Belgian playmaker has also overtaken David Silva as Man City's all-time leading creator in Premier League history.
De Bruyne missed the chance to become the first player in Premier League history to provide two assists in three successive matches in the competition, after registering a brace of assists in wins over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United.
Nevertheless, De Bruyne is now just five assists away from becoming only the fifth Premier League player to record a total of 100 assists in the competition.
English duo Frank Lampard (102) and Wayne Rooney (103) currently sits fourth and third respectively in the all-time charts, while Cesc Fabregas is second with 111 assists.

De Bruyne is some way behind the current leader, however, as Ryan Giggs sit at the top of the charts after registering a whopping 162 assists during his 24-year career at Man United.
The Belgian now has nine assists in the Premier League this season, five more than City teammate Bernardo Silva and Arsenal's Bukayo Saka in second place.
In total, De Bruyne has 11 assists in 12 games across all competitions, setting up at least one goal in seven of his last eight appearances.
Meanwhile, Erling Braut Haaland has broken yet another record, this time set by none other than Lionel Messi, after scoring City's fourth goal against Southampton, and he has taken his goals tally for the season across all competitions to 20 in just 13 matches.
Man City's win over Southampton has seen them move to the top of the Premier League table, two points clear of second-placed Arsenal who play host to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
