Emile Smith Rowe becomes just the fourth Arsenal player aged 21 or under to score in three consecutive appearances with his strike against Watford.

Arsenal attacker Emile Smith Rowe has joined an elite crowd of Gunners players with his winner against Watford on Sunday.

In a cagey and bad-tempered London derby, Smith Rowe's deflected second-half effort handed Arsenal all three points to extend their unbeaten run across all competitions to 10 matches.

The Hale End academy graduate has now scored in three consecutive top-flight appearances for Mikel Arteta's side following previous strikes against Leicester City and Aston Villa.

In doing so, Smith Rowe has become just the third player aged 21 or under to achieve that feat for Arsenal, following in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas, Nicolas Anelka and the late Jose Antonio Reyes.

Smith Rowe now has five goals and two assists from 13 matches in all competitions this season, although his strike on Sunday was mired in controversy after the Gunners failed to give the ball back to Watford following an injury.

Arteta's side have risen above Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United into fifth in the Premier League table following Sunday's triumph.
