Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to be called up to feature in England's friendly against Holland later this month.
The 18-year-old, who scored a brace in the Gunners' 7-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers at the weekend, could be in contention to make the Euro 2012 squad if he impresses at Wembley.
"Obviously an [England call-up] would be very nice, but I have just got to keep my feet on the ground and take it step by step," The Mirror quotes Oxlade-Chamberlain as saying.
"I am focusing on Arsenal at the moment, and am in the Under-21s squad. All I can do is concentrate on what I am involved in."
The former Southampton youngster impressed Three Lions boss Fabio Capello when the Italian observed the teen during Arsenal's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United last month.
