Erik Lamela's rabona goal for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal in the North London derby is nominated for the Puskas award.

Erik Lamela's rabona goal for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal has been nominated for the 2021 Puskas award.

The prestigious prize is awarded to the player adjudged to have scored the best goal of the calendar year, and has previously been won by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mohamed Salah.

Tottenham's Son Heung-min won the award last year for his solo effort against Burnley, and the North London outfit could provide another winner this time around with Lamela's memorable rabona strike in the derby against Arsenal in March one of 11 goals nominated.

Lamela is joined on the list of nominees by Riyad Mahrez's strike for Algeria against Zimbabwe, and Patrik Schick's goal for Czech Republic against Scotland at Euro 2020.

Luis Diaz, Gauthier Hein, Valentino Lazaro, Sandra Owusu-Andrah, Vangelis Pavlidis, Daniela Sanchez, Mehdi Taremi and Caroline Weir are the other players dominated.
