Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong wishes Wolves well for the rest of the season after his loan spell at Molineux is cut short by injury.

Emmanuel Frimpong has wished Wolverhampton Wanderers well after his loan spell with the club was cut short by injury.

The Arsenal midfielder was ruled out for the rest of the season after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in the win at Queens Park Rangers.

When he did feature for the Black Country club he impressed but was unlucky with injuries, having to be carried off in two of his five appearances in a Wolves shirt.

"Bad news is that I'm out for six to nine months with my knee," the 20-year-old wrote on his Twitter account.

"I want to thank all the Wolves fans for their support since I've been here and really hope Wolves stay up this season."

Frimpong has now returned to Arsenal to begin his recuperation.
