Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas has admitted that the club are "in trouble" following three consecutive league defeats.

London rivals Arsenal can close the gap on third-placed Spurs to just one point with a win over Newcastle United this evening.

Two weeks ago, Harry Redknapp's team had a 10-point lead over the Gunners and Gallas is concerned by the ever-shortening proximity between the clubs in the Premier League table.

He told TalkSPORT: "After the game against Everton we have to talk together because now maybe Arsenal can be back one point behind.

"Now we are in trouble but the season is still long and I think we can still make it (finish third)."

The 34-year-old Frenchman revealed in January that he would like to end his career in Qatar or the USA.
