Gary Cahill wary of "fantastic" Arsenal

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill warns his teammates not to celebrate a potential Premier League title until Arsenal's late surge subsides.

Gary Cahill has warned his Chelsea teammates to keep the champagne on ice as Arsenal make a late surge for the Premier League title.

With a seven-point lead over the second-placed Gunners, Jose Mourinho's side, who also have a game in hand, are widely expected to clinch the league title this season.

However, the North Londoners have thrown themselves the slimmest of lifelines after winning 10 of their last 11 games, with a 4-1 win over Liverpool giving rise to suggestions that they could yet catch the Blues.

"I think it's gone under the radar, hasn't it? I think how well they've done of late – they've crept up," he told Get West London.

"We started [against Stoke] with them in second position. They've gone about it quietly, they're obviously in fantastic form. I'm sure anyone will tell you that there's still that element of pressure to finish the job.

"And we've worked so hard this season to get where we are, and put ourselves in the position that we're in. So we want to go all the way and finish it."

Arsene Wenger's side welcome Chelsea to the Emirates on April 26.
