Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reveals that Kieran Gibbs will not be available for this weekend's match against Norwich City, after failing to recover from a thigh injury suffered before the international break.

Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has been ruled out of Saturday's match against Norwich City through injury.

Gibbs has been ever-present in an improved Arsenal defence so far this season but was taken off during their 3-1 win over West Ham United with a thigh problem.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that Gibbs is aiming to be back in action for next weekend's home game against Queens Park Rangers.

He told the club's official website: "Kieran Gibbs is out for Saturday because he went off against West Ham, he's not healed yet.

"He has a little chance to be ready for Wednesday and a bigger chance for QPR."

The 23-year-old had seen his fine early-season form rewarded with a return to Roy Hodgson's England squad before being forced to withdraw with the thigh injury.
