Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirms that Olivier Giroud is fit to face Reading on Monday after recovering from a back injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Olivier Giroud is fit to face Reading on Monday night.

The French striker missed the midweek defeat to Bradford City with a back injury but is back in training and in the squad to travel to the Madejski Stadium.

Wenger told the club's official website: "It's difficult because some players are still not practising so I can still not tell you exactly who will be available on Monday.

"Laurent Koscielny should come into the training group today but with Theo Walcott we don't know.

"Giroud is the only one who is certain to be back."

The Gunners are looking to bounce back from their League Cup exit at Valley Parade on penalties.
