Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has declared that he is proud to have been singled out for special praise by Gunners fans with his own chant, to the tune of The Beatles' hit Hey Jude.
Giroud has quickly become a firm favourite at the Emirates since signing from Montpellier in 2012, with the Frenchman endearing himself to Arsenal fans with a strong work ethic in attack.
The French international has revealed that he is a huge fan of British music and takes great pride in hearing the chant, admitting that it often gives him goosebumps during a match.
The forward told ESPN Brasil: "I love the English pop rock so I love The Beatles, Coldplay, Green Day. I like a lot of English [language] music.
"Even though I was a bit young when they made this song I am really proud to have my proper song, my own song.
"It makes me have goosebumps sometimes. It is really nice to hear when you are on the pitch."
The 27-year-old has found his scoring touch in his second season with Arsenal, finding the target eight times across all competitions in 16 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side.
