Thierry Henry downplays his role at the Emirates after agreeing a two-month loan deal.

Thierry Henry has said that he has not returned to the Emirates Stadium to be a first-team regular.

The Frenchman, who completed his return to Arsenal this morning, could be in line to make his first start for the club against Championship side Leeds United in the FA Cup next week.

However, he has urged the club's supporters not to expect him to be a hero.

"It is unreal to be honest," he told the club's official website. "When it comes to Arsenal my heart will always do the talking.

"I am not coming here to be a hero or prove anything. I'm just coming here to help. People have to understand that.

"It is a loan deal and I'll be on the bench most of the time. If I can make the bench that is!"

Henry left the club over four years ago in a move to Spanish champions Barcelona.
