Mathieu Debuchy has backed his Arsenal teammate Calum Chambers to replace him during his lengthy absence with an ankle injury.
Debuchy fell awkwardly during Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Saturday, and Chambers has been tipped to replace the former Newcastle United defender.
Debuchy told reporters: "Calum is a very good player, he is very young and has a great potential.
"He proved himself since the beginning of the season, when he performed very well."
Chambers, 19, arrived at the Emirates following a £16m move from Southampton in the summer.
