Ronald Koeman: 'Arsenal, Manchester City out of Premier League title race'

The Premier League title will be won by either Leicester City or Tottenham Hotspur this season, according to Southampton boss Ronald Koeman.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has ruled Arsenal and Manchester City out of the Premier League title race.

The Dutchman shared his viewpoint following a 1-0 win for leaders Leicester City over Newcastle United tonight, which moved them 11 points clear of the Gunners and 12 ahead of City.

Both of those sides have a game in hand on the Foxes, but Koeman can only see Leicester or second-placed Tottenham Hotspur lifting the trophy in May.

"[Arsenal and Manchester City] are out of the title race. It will be a fight between Tottenham and Leicester," he told Sky Sports News.

Leicester are five points better off than Spurs with eight games left to play - no side has ever failed to win the Premier League from that position.
