Vincent Kompany: 'Etihad Stadium is a fortress'

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany describes the Etihad Stadium as a "real fortress" following his side's 6-3 win over Arsenal.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has described the Etihad Stadium as a "real fortress" following his side's 6-3 win over Arsenal.

City scored four goals during an end-to-end second half to help themselves extend their 100% home record in the Premier League to eight games.

"It is a real fortress here," Kompany told BT Sport. "It was a great game for the fans. At times the tempo was frightening.

"We looked to be in control of the game for most of it. There were no standout individual performances, but collectively we've did incredibly well."

City are now just three points behind Arsenal, who remain top of the league table.
