Paul Lambert hails "unplayable" Gabriel Agbonlahor

Paul Lambert claims that Gabriel Agbonlahor was "unplayable" in Aston Villa's 3-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has claimed that Gabriel Agbonlahor could force his way into the England squad if the forward continues to perform as he did in the victory over Arsenal.

Agbonlahor impressed for the visitors as Villa secured a surprise 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on the opening day of the Premier League season, and Lambert believes that it is the best he has seen the 26-year-old play for a long time.

Lambert told Sky Sports News: "Agbonlahor gave as good a solo performance as I've seen for many, many years. He was unplayable.

"If he keeps that up, and on the last four months of the season, he could definitely get himself back in the England reckoning."

The last of Agbonlahor's three England caps came in October 2009.
