Mark Lawrenson: 'Jose Mourinho's Arsene Wenger criticism is embarrassing'

Mark Lawrenson says that he would be "embarrassed" as a Chelsea player hearing manager Jose Mourinho's criticism of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

Mark Lawrenson has claimed that he would be "embarrassed" as a Chelsea player hearing manager Jose Mourinho's criticism of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger last week.

Mourinho appeared to take a swipe at Wenger last week to extend his long-running feud with the Frenchman, which stretches back over 10 years.

Lawrenson told BBC Sport: "I saw his interview about Wenger last week. I just want to say to him, 'just go and manage'. He is such a good manager; forget about all the other stuff.

"I really get [the siege mentality] but not every single week. That stuff he said about Wenger, if I was a Chelsea player I would be embarrassed."

Chelsea are currently 15th in the Premier League table.
