Former Arsenal player Frank McLintock believes that the Gunners will be in 'serious trouble' if Olivier Giroud gets injured during the course of the season.
The North London outfit were in the market for a new striker during the summer window, but failed to secure the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez, who they were rumoured to be interested in.
"My primary concern is if all of a sudden our centre-forward Giroud gets injured, we will be seriously in trouble," McLintock told talkSPORT.
"There is no one there. [Theo] Walcott could occasionally play there but I don't think he is comfortable there."
Arsenal have recorded six wins on the bounce in all competitions following their opening Premier League defeat to Aston Villa.
