Danny Mills: 'Arsenal think they're Barcelona'

Former Manchester City defender Danny Mills believes that Arsenal play "like they're Barcelona" despite the fact that "teams are better than them".

Former Manchester City defender Danny Mills has criticised Arsenal's mentality, claiming that the Gunners play "like they're Barcelona" despite the fact that "teams are better than them".

Arsene Wenger's charges are sitting sixth in the Premier League table, having drawn six and lost five this season, and have found themselves criticised by their own fans on several occasions.

Speaking ahead of his former side's game against the Gunners on Sunday, Mills told BBC Sport: "Arsene Wenger's side still need to change their mentality.

"When they play against the big sides, they have to play more defensively, have in their head that a draw is not a bad result.

Arsenal have this belief that they can go and play their own game and everything will take care of itself, like they're Barcelona. But they are not the same team as they were eight or nine years ago - teams are better than them."

Arsenal last won the Premier League in 2004.
