Samir Nasri ready for hostile reception at Emirates Stadium

Samir Nasri admits that he is prepared to be greeted with a hostile reception when Manchester City face Arsenal on Saturday.

Samir Nasri has revealed that he is ready for the hostile reception he is likely to face when Manchester City visit the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal on Saturday.

City are searching for vital points in their bid to be crowned Premier League champions, and Nasri claims that he won't be worried about how he is treated by Arsenal's supporters following his exit from the club in August 2011.

"I don't expect to be welcomed with open arms by the crowd," the France international told reporters.

"Hopefully that's because they were disappointed to see me leave and perhaps at some point they loved me.

"But when I am on the pitch I don't focus on the opposition fans, I am focused on doing my best for the team."

City are currently third in the table, with Arsenal one place further back.
