Samir Nasri urges Arsenal to "win ugly"

Samir Nasri says that Arsenal need to start 'winning ugly' in order to salvage their season.

Samir Nasri has said that Arsenal need to start 'winning ugly' in order to salvage their season.

The former Gunner said that while Arsene Wenger is capable of producing "good football", sometimes it is important to be able to grind out results.

"It's football," Nasri said. "Sometimes it's good to win ugly.

"You don't always have to play good football to win.

"Arsenal play good football but after seven years they don't win so that's difficult for them, but the manager has a good philosophy. I know they'll find some solution."

Nasri signed for Manchester City from Arsenal for £24m last summer.
