Oxlade-Chamberlain excited over England future

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain feels that England's current blend of youth and experience will stand them in good stead in future tournaments.

The 19-year-old was part of the Three Lions squad during Euro 2012 and is part of a nucleus of young players finding their feet at international level under Roy Hodgson.

"We have experience, youth and the quality to do damage at a tournament," Oxlade-Chamberlain told The Mirror.

"I see Danny Welbeck, a young player like me, doing really well. Playing well, scoring at the highest level and to see other young players coming through is great for the whole squad.

"I feel sure we can make good things happen. There's a spirit, no-one is inhibited and the fact there's more young lads in the squad means you're not going in on your own."

Oxlade-Chamberlain has made nine appearances for England, scoring one goal.
