Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has revealed that it is a "privilege" to receive praise from his manager Arsene Wenger for his impressive displays this season.
The German has been instrumental in the Gunners' strong start to the Premier League campaign, which sees them sit in the top two after 10 matches.
However, Ozil has insisted that he can raise the level of his game to inspire the club to greater success in the campaign.
"He knows about football. No, I joke," Ozil told the club's official website. "It's a privilege for me, especially when such an experienced manager says something like that about me.
"I'm here to develop myself further and I've said in the past that I have the manager's trust and enjoy that.
"My goal is to help the team and I'm on a good way. I'm proud of myself and of the whole team. We've played a successful season up to this and now we need to work on ourselves to make sure that we become more successful."
Arsenal face Swansea City in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
