Tomas Rosicky is confident that Olivier Giroud can be prolific in front of goal for Arsenal in the 2013-14 season.

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky believes that striker Olivier Giroud will be in "better" form in the upcoming season.

The 26-year-old found the net 17 times for the Gunners following his arrival at the Emirates Stadium from Montpellier last summer.

"When you come to England it can be difficult in the first season because you have to settle and get used to it," Rosicky told the club's official website.

"So I expect him to have a better season than he did last year, and I believe he can score more than he did then. If he continues with how he has played in pre-season, then why not?"

Giroud has netted six goals in three matches during Arsenal's pre-season tour in Asia.
