Tomas Rosicky says that he was 'honoured' to represent Arsenal after choosing to end his playing career at the age of 37.

Tomas Rosicky has said that he will remain a "Gunner forever" after choosing to announce his retirement at the age of 37.

Rosicky has started and ended his time on the pitch at Sparta Prague, but the former Czech Republic international will be best remembered for his time with Arsenal.

The midfielder scored 28 goals in 247 appearances for the North London outfit, and the ex-crowd favourite has admitted that he had developed a "special bond" with the club's supporters.

"For one last time, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Arsenal Football Club. For me, it's a fantastic club and it was always an honour for me to play for Arsenal," he told Arsenal's official website.

"I always had a special bond with the fans. Every time I played, they knew that I was playing for the shirt. I always played for the shirt because it was an honour for me to represent such a great club like Arsenal. One thing is for sure, I'm a Gunner forever."

Rosicky also spent time at Borussia Dortmund during his career.
