Former England striker Alan Shearer has admitted his surprise that neither Tottenham Hotspur nor Arsenal signed a new forward on transfer deadline day.
Spurs were strongly linked with a move for West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino, but could not come to an agreement with the Englishman's club.
Arsenal, meanwhile, were linked with both Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani and Real Madrid's Karim Benzema during the summer window, but neither arrived at the Emirates.
Shearer now believes that Spurs will be over-reliant on Harry Kane this season.
So a total of zero forwards are on their way to north London! #THFC & #Arsenal still short up top #THFC had better hope @hkane28 stays fit!

The biggest move on Tuesday saw Manchester United sign Anthony Martial from Monaco for £36m.
