Tim Sherwood is adamant that his Tottenham Hotspur team did not deserve to be on the losing side in the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at White Hart Lane today.
Tomas Rosicky's wonder goal after 77 seconds proved to be the difference between both North London giants this afternoon.
Sherwood's troops laid siege to the Gunners throughout the second half in a bid to draw level, registering a total of 17 attempts at goal and the 45-year-old believes that the result does not accurately reflect his side's performance.
"First and foremost, I wanted the performance. We got that but we didn't get the result," he told reporters. "The fans won't be happy with that but anyone who has seen that performance will know we didn't deserve to lose."
As a result of the loss, Spurs see their Champions League hopes dented and slip seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who have three games in hand.
