The pair face five offences of criminal damage relating to cars that were damaged in Newcastle city centre last year.
The players, both of Darras Hall, Ponteland, Northumberland, will appear before Newcastle Magistrates' Court.
Bendtner is currently on loan at Sunderland from Arsenal, while Cattermole joined the club from Wigan Athletic in 2009.
