Club legend Tony Adams has claimed that Mikel Arteta is doing "a remarkable job" as manager of Arsenal.
Since being appointed as the permanent successor to Unai Emery in December, Arteta has recorded 23 wins and eight draws from 40 matches in all competitions.
Although the Gunners suffered an early exit in last season's Europa League, the Spaniard guided his team to another FA Cup trophy in August.
While the club currently sit down in mid-table in the Premier League, Adams has described Arteta as the 'best Arsenal supporters have seen in a long time'.
Speaking to Stadium Astro, the ex-defender said: "He's the best we've seen in a long time. He really does understand the game, he expresses himself; he's very confident.
"It's his first job, for God's sake, he's doing a remarkable, remarkable job. He has got fantastic ability to work with this team.
"He puts hours into the training pitch. He's his own man, if [Mesut] Ozil's not in his thinking, he's out, it's as simple as that. I can't speak highly enough of the guy."
Arteta has a contract at Arsenal until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
