Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger rubbishes claims that his assistant Steve Bould launched a verbal tirade at the club's players.

Arsene Wenger has reacted angrily to a report that claimed his assistant manager Steve Bould had questioned the commitment of the Arsenal players.

Saturday's 2-0 defeat at home to Swansea City has resulted in the Gunners making their worst start to a new season since 1994.

Following that loss, Bould had been accused of telling the squad that they had been letting the management down all season.

However, Wenger has denied the speculation and instead demanded that journalists check the facts before they write their stories.

"That is not true at all. There's nothing more irritating than superficial information nowadays," Wenger told reporters. "It would be better that people are a bit responsible for what they write."

Arsenal sit 10th in the Premier League table with 15 matches played.
