Arsene Wenger: 'Goal-shy Arsenal will start scoring'

Arsene Wenger expects Arsenal to start finding the net regularly shortly, with two of their three Premier League goals having been scored by the opposition.

Arsene Wenger has claimed that goal-shy Arsenal will begin finding the net with greater frequency in the coming weeks.

The Gunners have only netted three times in their first four Premier League games - and two of those came through own goals - but the Frenchman is adamant that the floodgates will open soon enough if they continue creating chances.

"We have created the chances and that's what we want to continue to do," he is quoted as saying by Arsenal's official website.

"I believe that the finishing is a bit cyclical, up and down, and we are the team who has created the most chances since the start of the season, so let's just continue to focus on the quality of our game.

"It is about the efficiency and the quality of our game, we can score goals and I am not worried about that. We have Alexis, we have Giroud and we have Walcott. It is a massive opportunity for them of course."

The North Londoners, who have won two, lost one and drawn one, welcome Stoke City to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
