Arsene Wenger optimistic over Aaron Ramsey, Mathieu Flamini fitness

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini will both come through late fitness tests for tomorrow's clash with Swansea City.

Arsene Wenger has said that he is "optimistic" that Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini will be fit for Arsenal's game against Swansea City this weekend.

The duo, who have thigh and shoulder injuries respectively, will face late fitness tests ahead of tomorrow's match.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, the manager said: "Overall we don't have any more injuries than we had before the West Brom game. Flamini has a small shoulder problem. Ramsey we have to check him today.

"I believe that there is nobody really injured from the West Brom game. I don't think [either will miss the match]. I'm quite optimistic about them.

"Ramsey has a little thigh problem but he should be alright. He has a test. He is going back to Wales, certainly, for him it is always special. But you know Aaron Ramsey is a tough boy. He has a test and I think he will get through."

Arsenal currently sit at the top of the Premier League table.
