Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that the £40m the club paid for Mesut Ozil was money well spent.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who joined from Real Madrid in 2013, has been an influential figure for the Gunners so far this season, contributing 11 assists in 12 Premier League appearances this campaign.
"I spent £40m on Ozil and it was a bargain because he is a top player," FourFourTwo quotes Wenger as saying.
"He is not just a provider now, he likes to get on the end of things."
Ozil scored as Arsenal beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday.
