Arsene Wenger refuses to discuss fans' banners

Arsene Wenger refuses to comment on banners urging him to walk away from Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has shrugged off calls from Arsenal fans for him to walk away from the Gunners.

The Frenchman watched his team record a much-needed win away at West Bromwich Albion this afternoon, though some Arsenal fans had travelled to The Hawthorns with banners asking Wenger to step down.

"I don't want to comment on that," The Express quotes him as saying. "I try to do my best for this club that I love.

"We are very united with the players and staff around the team, that's all you can do.

"It's easier to deal with the upwards than the downwards, but you cannot be a manger and have only one side."

The win puts Wenger's men in fourth place with 20 points.
