Arsene Wenger undecided on Arsenal future, but will see out contract

Arsene Wenger admits that he is undecided on his Arsenal future, but will see out his contract, which expires next summer.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he has not made any decision about his futurel, but reiterates that he will respect his contract, which runs until the summer of 2017.

A report in The Times this morning claimed that the club's majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is keen to offer Wenger a two-year extension.

The 66-year-old has felt the pressure of the supporters this season, with many calling for the Frenchman to step down after guiding the club to just two trophies - FA Cups - in 11 years.

Wenger has responded to reports stating that a contract extension is on the table by insisting that they are "absolutely false".

"It is completely wrong," Wenger told reporters in Friday's press conference. "I don't know where this comes from. You can treat that as an invention. It is absolutely false. They could have checked with the club and it would have been denied."

When asked if he has decided on his future, Wenger replied: "No. The focus is to respect my contract. I have extended my contract at a period where it was vital for the club. I will see where I am personally and where the club stands."

In September, Wenger will celebrate 20 years in charge of the Gunners, who could finish second in the Premier League table if they beat Aston Villa in their final league game of the season on Sunday.
