Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that there is no timescale on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's return to fitness.
The 20-year-old played no part in the Gunners' 3-0 victory over Newcastle United on Monday evening due to injury.
With the World Cup coming up in June, the England international has been unable to feature in training for the North London outfit this week.
"Alex is in treatment at the moment and not in training," Wenger told the club's official website. "It's very difficult to give you a timescale on him at the moment."
Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson will announce his provisional 30-man World Cup squad on May 12.
