Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere: "I don't smoke"

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has hit back at reports claiming that he was caught smoking outside a nightclub by stating that he does not smoke.

A photograph of the England international puffing on a cigarette was published by a national newspaper, prompting Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to criticise Wilshere's behaviour.

However, the 21-year-old has insisted that he does not have the habit following reports from The Mirror claiming that his agent has described his actions as a prank.

Wilshere took to Twitter to post a photo of Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane smoking, with the message: "But for the record...I don't smoke!"
