Thursday's Premier League predictions including Chelsea vs. Manchester City

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Thursday's Premier League action, including Chelsea vs. Manchester City and Southampton vs. Arsenal.

Southampton vs. Arsenal (Thursday, 6.00pm)

Arsenal will be desperately looking to claim their first points of Project Restart when they travel to Southampton on Thursday evening.

The Gunners have suffered back-to-back losses since returning to Premier League action, whereas Southampton picked up victory against Norwich City in their first game back.

We say: Southampton 1-1 Arsenal

Southampton have lost more home games than any other side in the Premier League this season. On the back of a morale-boosting win over Norwich last time out, however, we are backing the Saints to make a bad week even worse for Arsenal by picking up their first draw of 2020.

Burnley vs. Watford (Thursday, 6.00pm)

Watford travel to Burnley on Thursday evening looking to build on their dramatic draw with Leicester City and pull further clear of the relegation zone.

The Hornets picked up a decent point on their return to action at the weekend, whereas Burnley were thrashed 5-0 against Manchester City as their European prospects were further derailed.

We say: Burnley 1-2 Watford

Watford have won only one of their 20 midweek Premier League away games. However, Hornets boss Pearson has won each of his last three away league meetings with Burnley and we are predicting an upset of sorts at Turf Moor on Thursday.

Chelsea vs. Man City (Thursday, 8.15pm)

Gameweek 31 of the Premier League season concludes with a top-four battle between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Both sides go into the blockbuster contest with a 100% record since lockdown, with Chelsea beating Aston Villa on Sunday and Man City winning two from two so far.

We say: Chelsea 1-2 Man City

Chelsea have the quality in their squad to cause Man City problems, but it is difficult to back against Guardiola's side in their current form, even at a ground as difficult at Stamford Bridge.

Lockdown appears to have been kind to the champions, and we are backing them to get the win which will keep the title out of Liverpool's grasp for that little bit longer.
